Kokkina Gremna Beach

If you are looking for a secluded beach in Chania, then Kokkina Gremna is where you will find what you are looking for. To get here you will start from the small town of Kissamos in the direction of the village of Sfinari. After about 15 km and just before Sfinari, you will first see the beach in the distance on your right and shortly afterwards you will meet the rural road leading to it. \nThe beach is located at the exit of a steep gorge and is named after the red slopes that surround it. There is no infrastructure, so you will need to bring all the essentials with you. The southern part of the coast is covered with rocks, while if you walk a little further north you will find several sandy or pebbled spots. The water is deep and there are often waves, especially when the winds are westerly.
