Minoan Peak Sanctuary

Perched on Mount Giouchtas, just above the town of Archanes, this Minoan Peak Sanctuary is one of the most important sacred sites of ancient Crete. From this high vantage point, the Minoans worshipped their gods, leaving behind offerings like clay figurines, idols, and libation tables—many of which have been unearthed during excavations.\n\rThe sanctuary dates back to the Middle Minoan period (around 1900–1600 BCE) and offers both spiritual and panoramic significance.
