Overview

The Rimondi Fountain is a historic Venetian-era fountain located in the heart of Rethymno's Old Town. Built in 1626 by the Venetian governor A. Rimondi, it features three lion head spouts from which water flows into basins below. The fountain is adorned with Corinthian columns and bears a Latin inscription. It served as a vital water source for the city during the Venetian period and remains a significant architectural landmark today.
